IN-HOUSE PRODUCTION WORKER

Full or part time

Most of the work we do is with our in-house production, but you are welcome to contribute with your own talents as well. Production workers work together to use and maintain equipment for the production of our racks and preparing items for shipment while adhering to all safety guidelines and standards. We're lucky to work with the big dogs in skiing and are looking for people committed to the quality this industry demands.

Essential Production Worker Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Start production machinery at beginning of shift.
  • Monitor equipment to ensure that products are being produced properly.
  • Make sure that workstation is clean and free of hazardous materials.
  • Address problems with production equipment and machinery and fixes them as needed.
  • Clean equipment and shop space.
  • Assemble product parts by hand.
  • Use power tools for cutting raw materials.
  • Identifie and discards or repairs faulty products.
  • Pack up completed products and prepares them for shipment.
  • Unload, organizes, and stocks shipments.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines dictation the production and handling of materials in the shop.
  • Ensure that all production deadlines are met.
  • Report issues or problems with production.

  • Demonstrate ability to use power tools safely and effectively.
  • Work efficiently and manages time effectively.
  • Pay close attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate ability to interpret equipment gauges and monitors.
  • Possess knowledge of the structure and function of production equipment.
  • Are able to identify problems or malfunctions with machinery and equipment.
  • Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Exhibit ability to work cautiously but efficiently in potentially hazardous conditions.
  • Are familiar with safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Possess physical strength and stamina required to stand, walk, and lift for long periods of time.
  • Possess physical dexterity necessary to assemble small and delicate product parts.
Education and Experience:
  • Personal experience as a maker or builder is highly recommended. Tell us what projects you've done!
  • Previous experience in woodworking, crafting, metalwork, warehousing, fast food, or restaurant work is all appreciated.
  • Experience with CNC machinery is a bonus.
  • Basic familiarity with lean manufacturing would be amazing.
  • Previous training in safety, OSHA standards, and leadership is appreciated.
  • Demonstrated ability to shred gnar is recommended.
Work Environment:
  • Standard labor laws apply.
  • Working hours will be spent in the shop.
  • Moderate to heavy physical activity such as walking and lifting is required on a daily basis.
  • Safety gear, such as goggles, gloves, and helmets should be worn on a regular basis.

Pay & Growth:
  • Starting pay is $11/hr
  • We also offer a quality bonus of $0 to $2/hr depending on the quality of your work.
  • Quality bonus increases further if production is higher than asked.
  • Good work is rewarded with quick promotion as well.
  • Pay period at Good Racks LLC is 2 weeks.
  • The employees may request partial alternatives to cash pay.
  • Benefits include discount lift tickets to nearby ski resorts.
  • Ski and snowboarding gear and swag are possible bonuses.
