The cherry wood we use is softer than a fingernail and the rack's angled lips only contact the top of your ski, not your edges. This protects your edges and graphics while putting minimal pressure on your skis rocker/camber. No garage or attic can baby your gear like Good Racks can.
Brake ties help keep your brakes off of the wall. To install just press the brake pedal to lift the brake arms, put the loops over each arm, and let go of the brake pedal. The knot may need to be adjusted to match your skis.
